Fax by definition means a method of encoding data then transmitting it over a telephone line or radio broadcast.You then receive the message through machine which produces a hard copy, line drawings, or photographs at a different location. Although the fax machine was invented a long time ago, it didn't become recognized by consumers until the 1980s. The first fax machine was invented in 1843 by Scottish inventor named, Alexander Bain. Fax machines changed the way we communicated with people today because messages were able to be transmitted for long distances in a much shorter time period. Today people still use fax machines, but mainly for business purposes.The fax machine was the beginning stages for today we have email,and text messaging.
